University Library Aotearoa New Zealand (ULANZ) is a national reciprocal borrowing scheme for New Zealand’s university libraries.
ULANZ enables borrowing in person by registered staff and students of ULANZ member universities from any other ULANZ member university's library.
All currently employed staff and currently enrolled students of ULANZ member universities are eligible to borrow in person from any other member university's library.
The following universities are members of ULANZ:
The University of Auckland is not currently a member of ULANZ.
If you are a Victoria University student (whether or not you are registered as a Distance student) and you need access to another ULANZ member library, please contact the Distance Lending Service, who will be happy to help you make contact and register.
If you are a student or staff member of another ULANZ member university and want to register for ULANZ access to the Victoria University Library, please come to the Central Library Issue Desk between 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday through Friday.
You will be asked to complete a registration form, and provide photographic proof of your identity. If you are a student, you must also provide proof that you are currently enrolled at a ULANZ member university; similarly, if you are a staff member, you will need to prove that you are currently employed by a ULANZ member.
Please allow one working day for the completion of registration processes, once you have submitted your form and provided the requisite proof of identity and affiliation. Your home institution library card or student identity card will also serve as your ULANZ borrower card at the Victoria University Library.
There is no charge to register as a ULANZ borrower. You may apply for ULANZ access at any time during the academic year.
Your ULANZ borrowing registration will expire after the sooner of the following:
Victoria University of Wellington has three categories of ULANZ registration: staff member, graduate student, undergraduate student. Subject to the restrictions below, you have the same borrowing rights as a Victoria student with the same status.
