For items that we do not hold and cannot be obtained through Borrow Direct, the Library operates the Inter-Library Loans (“Interloan”) service.

Through this service you can access the collections of other libraries, nationally and internationally. This service is available to all current staff and students of Victoria University of Wellington for your private research, study, and teaching only. In many cases your interloans will be supplied to you free of charge.

Use this service only if your item cannot be found on the Library Catalogue.

By submitting this request you agree to use copies of material received through interloan for private study/research only. Usage is governed by the Copyright Act 1994.

Interloaned books are free of charge. For hard-copy articles there is a charge of $2.00. For interloans requiring payment, if you have an account or research grant you would prefer to charge interloans to, please provide it each time you submit an interloan request. If you do not provide an account or research grant number the interloan charges will appear on your library file.
