Kelburn Library access for students and staff with disabilities and those unable to use the stairs

If you are unable to use the stairs and need a library resource please see staff at Victoria Info Ihonui for help

  • Weekdays until 6.00pm, Victoria Info Ihonui on Level 1

  • Weekends until 3.00pm and between 6.00pm-8.00pm on weekdays, Victoria Info Ihonui on Level 2 (access via Hub lift)

  • Retrieval service not available during 8.00pm-midnight weekdays and 3.00pm-10.00pm weekends

  • You can use this form to request items you are not able to collect from the shelves at the Kelburn Library.

Retrieval service:
Items will be available to collect from the Glass Room (level 2) at the following times:
•    Monday to Friday: 10am, 1pm & 4pm
•    Saturday & Sunday: 11am
Requests need to made no later than 30 minutes before the next collection time.  Requests placed after hours will be available for collection at 10am the following day (Mon-Fri) and 11am weekends.

Kelburn Access Suite

The Access Suite is on Level 1 of the library. It is a quiet place to rest and study for students with temporary or ongoing disabilities and provides computers and a range of adaptive technology and equipment. Access is granted by registering with Disability Services, contact: 04 463 6070

AV viewing facilities

Room RB110 is available for booking to view AV resources (DVD, Bluray, VHS). Please ask at Victoria Info Ihonui level 1 for the room to be unlocked.
