If you have any difficulties with using the library, or require specific assistance due to your impairment, please let us know. Our libraries have services and resources to support you.
We support students who live outside the Wellington area with a Distance Service which enables users to borrow books from Victoria and other libraries around New Zealand.
The Library is here to support your research and teaching. Your Subject Librarian is your primary point of contact and can help you arrange Library services for yourself or your classes.
If you've been part of the life of Victoria University, as an academic, general staff member or a student, you are eligible to become an alumni member of the Library.
If an item is already on loan you can make a request for it to be placed on hold for you when it is returned. If you want to borrow an item from other campus libraries, make a request to have it delivered to your home library. You can also obtain resources we don't hold by making an Interloan request.
You can book group study rooms at all of our libraries by clicking on the buttons below.
You can pay your Library fines by Eftpos, credit card or cheque at any of our libraries, or pay by credit card online.
Congratulations on completing your thesis! Theses which have been accepted for the award of a PhD. or Master’s degree are held as part of the Library’s collection. If you are about to graduate, you must supply one print and one digital copy of the final version of your thesis.
